DMK candidates for bypoll

CHENNAI: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has announced P.M. Kumar and P. Venkatachalapathi as its candidates for the Kancheepuram and Gummudipoondi Assembly byelections to be held on May 14.

According to a party press release,the party has formed an 11-member coordination committee for each of the constituencies. While the party treasurer, Arcot N. Veerasami, and Veerapandi Arumugham will be the coordinators for Gummudipoondi, M.K. Stalin and Duraimurugan will be in charge of Kancheepuram.
