HYDERABAD: Did the BJP get police permission for its padayatra or not? The presence of policemen at the venue only fuelled rumours. City party chief Venkataramani said he did apply for permission but the police told him "orally" of the denial on Friday night. "They cited traffic jam and law and order problem for not giving the permission. Only late in the morning were we given a go-ahead," he said. "In a democracy every political party has a right to go to people. How did the Commissioner of Police allow a Congress rally on Langar Houz main road recently?" asked Mr. Dattatreya.
