BJP critical of APCC chief's peace yatra

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The BJP has said it is a paradox that the APCC chief, K. Keshava Rao, launched the Gandhi Shanti Sandesh Yatra when it is the duty of the Congress Government to ensure peace in the State. Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, the BJP State president, N. Indrasena Reddy, and the vice-president, S.V. Seshagiri Rao, said the `yatra' would have made sense if all parties were involved in it. Otherwise, there was no meaning to the Congress-sponsored `yatra' with the party in power.
