HUMBLE (U.S.A.): Arjun Atwal dropped four strokes in his last four holes but managed to make the cut in the Houston Open Golf tournament at the Redstone Golf course in Texas. The Indian, who two weeks ago lost out in a play-off at the BellSouth Classic is tied 38th with a score of two-under par. Atwal bogeyed the 15th and 17th and then doubled bogeyed the tough par-four 18th, as he missed almost 50 per cent of the greens in regulation on a tough scoring day. But for those four strokes, he may well have been in top-15, as he continued his good showing on the US Tour this season. Atwal's three-day total was two-under 214. The leaders at the end of the third round were Vijay Singh and Gavin Coles, both at 11-under 205. Vijay's rounds were 64, 71 and 70, while Coles shot 65, 69 and 71. Greg Owen is one shot behind at 10-under 206. AP
