CUDDAPAH:
Village-wise kharif plans were prepared by mandal agricultural officers and a list of farmers, who did not avail of loans so far, was given to bankers, the Joint Director of Agriculture, M. Rajeswar, told newsmen here on Sunday. Officials of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, marketing, sericulture, fisheries, farm scientists and bankers would visit villages during `rythu chaitanya yatras' from April 25 to May 15, he said. The Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry, J. Prakash, exhorted farmers to rear milch cattle and sheep to gain additional income. The Joint Director of Marketing, Ramakrishna, promised remunerative price to farmers by eliminating middlemen.
