CHENNAI: New visa application centres for obtaining Schengen visas have been opened in Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi. According to a press release from the French Embassy in India, applicants for a short-term Schengen visa can now fix an appointment by calling the call centre in Chennai (044-52638000), Mumbai (022-56314000) and New Delhi (011-5113111) and submit their application. The appointment system ensures that the applicants do not have to wait for long to submit their applications. Applicants can also fix appointment online by logging on to www.vfs-france.co.in Under this new arrangement, Indian residents applying for French visas will now be able to submit visa applications across the counter at these application centres. It will be open from 8 a.m. till noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. between Monday and Friday.
