Next debate on Pushkaram project
HYDERABAD:
The Pushkaram irrigation project in East Godavari district will be discussed in the next round of open debate slated for Sunday. However, the debate would be held at the project site.
This was announced by the Irrigation Advisor, P. Sitapati Rao, at the end of Sunday's debate on Janjhavathi. When reporters expressed doubts over the possibility of law and order problem following the participation of displaced families, the Major Irrigation Minister, P. Lakshmaiah, said, the Government would take all the required steps. Mr. Sitapati Rao rejected a demand made by the TDP representative, S. Maruti, to post Sriramsagar Flood Flow Canal project for next round.
