NEW DELHI: One person has been arrested by the North-West Delhi police for allegedly criminally assaulting a two-year-old girl at Bawana in North-West Delhi two months ago. According to the police, the victim was found unconscious in a public lavatory at Shahabad dairy in Bawana on February 26. She was taken to the hospital where the doctors confirmed that she had been criminally assaulted. During investigations, the police found that one Kishan, a labourer, was missing from his house in Shahabad Dairy. When the police questioned his family members they could not explain his absence and then disappeared themselves. The police managed to trace out their native address in Ghaziabad but the suspect was also not found there. On Friday last, the police got a tip-off about the presence of Kishan in Bawana. A raid was carried out and the accused arrested. Kishan allegedly confessed to having criminally assaulting the girl.
