NEW DELHI: Two women were found murdered in their house at Najafgarh in South-West Delhi on Sunday. Property dispute is suspected to be the reason behind the incident. According to the police, a call was received this afternoon claiming that two women had been shot at from close range in their house at Laxmi Vihar, Gali No. 3. The police reached the spot and rushed the two women to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead. The police said the identity of one of the woman has been established as 35-year-old Veermati, a resident of Dichaun Kalan in Najafgarh. The identity of the second woman, aged around 30, has not yet been established. She had "Rajbala" tattooed on her hand. However, the police said she was probably a close relative of Veermati. Preliminary investigations revealed that Veermati was the second wife of one Dharambir, a Dichaun Kalan resident. Dharambir had died five years ago. Veermati was claiming that she had a share in her husband's property which had led to dispute between her and other family members. Dharambir and his family owned several houses and shops in Laxmi Vihar. Of late, Veermati had been living with her parents at Sonepat in Haryana. Meanwhile, the police said the accused has been identified and teams have been sent to arrest him.
