Shahrukh Khan does it again

Rani Mukherji, Malaika Arora enthral fans at `Temptation 2005' show

BANGALORE: Over 35,000 Bangaloreans screamed and danced along with a galaxy of Bollywood stars.

Led by Shahrukh Khan, the event, "Temptation 2005", at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday had live performances by of Rani Mukherji, Lara Dutta, Malaika Arora Khan and Zayed Khan.

The show began with solo numbers by Lara, Malaika and Zayed.

Eventually, it turned out to be a big meeting point for all Shahrukh Khan fans.

The organisers could not keep their promise on getting the Indian Idol finalist, Amit Sana. He was replaced by Prajakta. And her performance with Rahul Vaidya stood out.

Back to Shahrukh. The Khan everyone wanted to watch and applaud did not disappoint them as he performed all his hit tracks from films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kal Ho Na Ho, Devdas and Main Hoon Na.

The show's choreographer, Ganesh Hegde, presented special songs from Murder and Zeher. Of course, they came as a bonus for the audience.

The fusion dance of Bharatnatyam and A.R Rehman's O Hum Dum Suniyore from the movie Saathiya, performed by Rani Mukherji and Malaika Arora was a treat for the eyes. Apart from the regular Hindi film numbers, Zayed and Lara danced to the tunes of Bally Sagoo.

The onstage performance by Shahrukh Khan disappointed .some of the fans in the audience as they were not called on stage by king Khan.

With loads of thanksgiving by Zayed Khan, Shahrukh Khan presented a special sequence of dialogue followed by songs of the film such as Kaun Kambakht Bardast Karne ko peeta hai.. from Devdas and the all time hit main tumhe yahan se bhagalene nahi aaya Simran.. from the blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.

Getting started and speaking to the audience Shahrukh Khan said: "Bangalore is my mother city and I feel really touched when I come here. It is the Silicon Valley of India and one day it will be the same for the world," he said.

The show concluded with a group performance by all the stars dancing to the tune of Its the Time to Disco from the movie Kal Ho Na Ho.
