KOZHIKODE: Gowri Chandrasekhara Pillai, alias Jomol, Malayalam actor, has accused her father, K.A. John, of criminal breach of trust. She told mediapersons here on Monday that she had filed a case in the court of the First Class Magistrate, Kunnamangalam, against her father of cheating and depriving her of the income she had earned as a cine star and through participating in shows organised in India and abroad. The Magistrate, Arbi, has forwarded the case to the Medical College police for further investigation. P.M. Harris, her lawyer who was present at the press conference, said Ms. Gowri had filed the case against her father under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The major charges include criminal breach of trust (Sections 405, 406), breach of trust by person bound to protect by contract or by law (Section 418), and misappropriation by agent (Section 409) and inducement of property by making false representation. She alleged that even the jewellery that she now possessed and her wedding dress were given to her by her husband. The cine star has made a claim of Rs.70 lakhs from her father. She now has an eight-month old daughter. She demanded that the money in possession of her father should be transferred to her daughter. Ms. Gowri arrived at the media briefing accompanied by her husband, Chandrasekhara Pillai.
