Tax exemption to CSD sales

CHANDIGARH: In a significant decision, the Haryana Government on Monday decided that the sale by CSD canteens to servicemen and ex-servicemen would be exempt from tax. In fact there was a demand from defence personnel and ex-servicemen that no VAT should be imposed on sales by the CSD canteens and they had submitted representations to the Union Defence Minister and the Haryana Government in this regard.
