12 injured in stone-throwing by rival groups

CUDDAPAH: Seven TDP activists and five Congressmen sustained injuries in stone-throwing by rival groups in Yeturu village of Khajipet mandal on Monday evening.
During discussions in a bid to ensure unanimous election to Yeturu Canal water users association under the KC Canal slated on Tuesday, rival groups entered into heated exchanges and hurled stones at each other, according to the police. The Additional SP, M. Lakshmi Reddy, and the Mydukur DSP, Uma Maheswara Rao, rushed to the village and controlled the mobs.
