Hundi fraud: contract worker held

TIRUMALA:
Crime sleuths here on Monday took into custody a contract labourer working in the local branch of the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) for alleged fraud in the sorting of coins collected in the Tirumala temple hundi. The police are also on the lookout for two more persons.
The huge stock of coins collected in the temple hundi is sorted out through automatic counting machines during `Parakamani'-- the process of counting the collections in the hundi.
The alleged mix-up was detected only the next day by the crime sleuths when they were on a routine verification of the bags.
