Girl dies in accident

HYDERABAD: A five-year-old girl, Navya, was killed after a van knocked her down while she was crossing the road at Chandagirinagar in Jeedimetla on Monday.

The girl was taken to a barbershop for a haircut by her father Raju around 8.30 a.m.

As several customers were in queue, Raju asked the girl to wait at the shop and went out. saying he would come back after some time.

Meanwhile, Raju's sister, Navaneeta, came to the shop and was returning home along with girl when the mishap occurred.
