Pope's conservatism

This refers to the article "The new Pope's conservatism" (April 25). The Bible says: "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath." The new papacy should remember that the Church is for man and not the other way round. While it may take some more time for the Church to take a liberal view of gay marriages and marriage for priests, it can take a scientific stand on issues such as birth control, abortion and ordination of women.
