KASARAGOD: Kozhikode will meet Kannur in a repeat of last year's final in the boys' section of the State sub-junior handball championship held at the Municipal stadium here on Tuesday. Defending champion, Kozhikode defeated Idukki 31-22 and Kannur overcame a spirited fight back from Thiruvananthapuram in the second half before winning 27-24. Thiruvananthapuram defeated Kasaragod 21-13 to enter the final in the girls' section. The second semifinal between Kannur and Kollam was not held due to bad light. The match will be played on Wednesday morning. The results (Semifinals): Boys: Kozhikode 31 (Marshal 13, Bijish 10) bt Idukki 22; Kannur 27 (Ranjith 12) bt Thiruvananthapuram 24. Girls: Thiruvananthapuram 21 (Dhanya 15) bt Kasaragod 13.
