SWAC wins overall title

HYDERABAD: South Western Air Command (SWAC) won the overall team title in the 55th Air Force aquatics championship, which concluded at the Air Force Academy at Dindigul near here on Monday. V. Kumar of SWAC was adjudged the best swimmer of the meet.

The results:

3m springboard diving: 1. A.K. Sharma (SWAC) 262.35 pts; 2. Arun Lal (WC); 3. Arun (MC).

1m springboard diving: 1. Arun Lal (WAC) 158.95 pts; 2. A.K. Sharma (SWAC); 3. Arun (MC).

400m freestyle: 1. V. Kumar (SWAC) 5m 33.42s; 2. Reji Xavier (Air HQ); 3 N. Yadav (EAC).

800m freestyle: 1. Reji Xavier (Air HQ) 12m 23.63s; 2. N. Yadav (EAC); 3. Rasheed (SWAC).

200m individual medley: 1. S.K. Das (WAC) 3m 17.94s; 2. Dhull (AC); 3. Kataria (CAC).

50m breaststroke: 1. Ravi (TC) 37.20s; 2. Jayachandran (WAC); 3. Srihari (MC).

4x100m freestyle relay: 1. MC (K.K. Singh, Jai Shankar, Srihari and Sukhiram) 4m 58.54s; 2. SWAC (Kumar, Rasheed, S.K. Verma and A. Kanskar); 3. WAC (Hemanth, S.K. Das, Jayachandran and S.A. Kurian).
