CHENNAI: Claire Speedy, Marketing Officer, and Keith Wilson (Faculty Registrar) Faculty of Engineering at the University of Auckland, will be visiting Chennai on April 28 (3 to 6 p.m.) for recruiting students to this 122-year-old institution. The University of Auckland is a research-led university, hosting over 33,500 students on five Auckland campuses, with a School of Theology, and eight faculties representing each of its main disciplines: Arts, Business and Economics, Creative Arts and Industries, Education, Engineering, Law, Medical and Health Sciences, and Science. The intakes are in the month of February and July. The university achieved the highest quality score, and the highest funding allocation, in the Performance-Based Research Fund review, released in 2004 by the Tertiary Education Commission.
International status
It enjoys international status as the only New Zealand University invited to join Universitas 21 and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities. Its research-based study programmes are internationally recognised and attract postgraduate and undergraduate students from all over the world. For appointments call 52068985/86/87.
