Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A patient jumped to death from Gandhi Hospital at Musheerabad on Monday night. His body was found lying in a corner on the terrace of the hospital's second floor on Tuesday morning. A farmer from Nooka thanda of Narayankhed mandal in Medak district, Venkat Naik was an epileptic patient and also suffered from psychological disorders. He was admitted to the male medical ward on the fourth floor of the hospital on Friday, the police said.

His brothers - Pandu and Mukku - who were attending on him left around 9 p.m. The police believe that Naik went to the terrace of the eight-storeyed building and jumped to death. He fell on the terrace of the second floor. Since there was none on the floor at that hour, his suicide was not immediately noticed.
