NEW DELHI: Five persons allegedly involved in the robbery at Canara Bank's Burari branch in North Delhi on April 9 have been arrested by the North-East Delhi police. Two of the accused had apparently hatched the conspiracy along with the other accused to overcome business losses. According to the police, two persons, identified as Mohammad Islam and Praveen, who were suspected to be involved in a burglary reported from Gokulpuri in North-East Delhi, were arrested a few days ago. They were remanded to three-day police custody. During interrogation, the accused told the police that they along with four others, Irfan, Salim, Dushyant Kumar and Shahid, were involved in the bank robbery. The police conducted raids at various hideouts of the suspects and managed to arrest Dushyant and Irfan from different places. Subsequently, Salim was also arrested.
