Yeleru: CPI wants State to move apex court
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The CPI State Council has asked the Government to prepare a fool-proof case in the Yeleru scam and approach the Supreme Court.
K. Narayana, CPI assistant secretary, in a statement said on Wednesday that the party executive viewed the High Court ruling on the Somasekhara Commission as "unfortunate." "Purely technical grounds might have been weighed high on the minds of the judges, but the fact remains that the collusion of middlemen, bureaucrats and politicians was beyond doubt."
In Warangal, the Congress leader and MLA, P. Janardhan Reddy, said he would move the Supreme Court on the issue.
