HYDERABAD: The Finance Minister, K. Rosaiah, on Wednesday sought to dispel the notion that the Congress Government in the State was farmer-friendly to the detriment of other sectors. He told a meeting of the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) that the State Government was very conscious of being industry-friendly too and spoke of its initiatives to woo investors to set up industries in Andhra Pradesh, especially the engineering sector, which, he said, contributed to 50 per cent on the industrial front. Mr. Rosaiah was speaking at the inaugural function held to mark the opening of the EEPC's sub-regional office here. "You come forward with your initiatives and suggestions and we will surely listen to you," he said. reiterating that the Government was committed to supporting the industrial sector.
