Bus passenger robbed

Thieves took away Rs. 20,000 from a person travelling in a city bus after picking his trouser pocket on Tuesday.

A native of Medak district, A. Yadaiah came to the city on some business work and boarded the bus at Ameerpet. When the bus reached Panjagutta junction, he noticed that the cash was stolen from his pocket, the Panjagutta police said.

Rs. 1 lakh stolen

One lakh rupees were stolen from a bus passenger's bag that was kept on the platform at Dilsukhnagar bus station on Tuesday.

A businessman from Krishna district, V. Srinivasa Rao, went to the bus station around 11.15 p.m. and was waiting to catch a bus to his native place. A few minutes later, he opened the bag after noticing a hole beneath it and found the cash stolen, the Malakpet police said.

Cash, documents stolen

Offenders took away Rs. 350 cash and travel documents from a car that was parked at the High Court on Tuesday.

S. Hemalata went inside the court complex after keeping her vehicle in the parking lot. On return, she found the car's windscreen broken and the bag containing cash and documents stolen, the Charminar police said.
