Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Rytu Sangham, affiliated to the Communist Party of India(Marxist), has criticised the suggestion of the State Government to public sector banks to cut down lending to crops which are not eligible for Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, the sangham president, B. Tulasidas, said the banks were already short of meeting the net banking credit to the tune of 18 per cent to agriculture sector. There was the danger of the credit falling further with the Government suggestion.
