Testing the response
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The Major Irrigation Minister, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, sprang a surprise after inaugurating the call centre. He picked up his mobile and lodged a complaint to test the response time. "This is Ponnala Lakshmaiah. I reside in Budvel Colony in Rajendranagar. Street lights in my colony are not working for the last five days," he said and hung up. The complaint was promptly forwarded by the call centre operator through SMS to the AE of Rajendranagar. The Minister was informed that he would be promptly told about the action taken. At this Mr. Lakshmaiah said he did not reside in Budvel and the door number he had given was incorrect. He was just making a routine call and asked the staff not to bother about the complaint.
