This Day That Age
Prime Minister Nehru, who returned to Calcutta on April 27 after attending the Asian-African Conference at Bandung, told pressmen that the conference was unique. It was the first and the only conference in the world where a document was produced showing a great measure of common agreement. The document was an example for other countries who neither met nor agreed. The conference was a great success for, despite a variety of attitudes among the participating nations, they were able to reach substantial agreement.
