AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat High Court has stayed the investigation into allegations of unlawful confinement made by Zahira Sheikh, prime witness in the Best Bakery case, against the Mumbai-based social activist, Teesta Setalvad. The stay order was passed by Justice C.K. Buch on the basis of a petition filed by Ms. Setalvad seeking quashing of the complaint. A petition seeking investigation against Ms. Setalvad was filed by Chetan Gore of the Atyachar Nagarik Anyaya Nivaran Samit. Ms. Sheikh had alleged that after the Vadodara fast track court acquitted all the 21 accused in the Best Bakery case, she was forcibly taken to Mumbai by Ms. Setalvad's associates.
