Rain likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over south interior Karnataka and isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala and north interior Karnataka.

Dry weather prevailed over Telangana, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rest Rayalaseema, rose at one or two places over Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, below normal at or two places over rest north interior Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, appreciably above normal at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over Kerala, rest south Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Karnataka, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over south interior Karnataka and isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
