THANJAVUR: Providing entrepreneurship training, besides promoting literacy, is the objective of Continuing Education Centres (CECs) created in 14 panchayat unions in the district, said the Collecor, M.Veera Shanmugha Moni, here today. He distributed books to Arivoli volunteers of the panchayat unions in connection with the World Book Day celebrated under the CEC scheme. The Collector said that under the scheme libraries would be established in each panchayat and a total of 567 CECs would be established in all the panchayats. Earlier a procession was taken out to create awareness among public about the scheme.
