THANJAVUR: Adventure increases one's confidence level. It gives courage and makes him or her achieve great feat. As part of an adventure activity by the Indian Air Force (IAF), a para sailing camp was organised at the IAF Station, Thanjavur, from April 25 to 28. The camp was inaugurated by Wing Commander R. Nagarajan, Station Commander, Indian Air Force station, Thanjavur. The participants were first trained on how to tie themselves to the para sail. Then they were pulled up in the air along with the para sail using a jeep. While all the staff of the station underwent the training, it was the school and the college students, who enjoyed the camp. Not to be left out, the Collector M. Veera Shanmugah Moni, also underwent the training today. The Collector was airborne for ten minutes. "It is a nice experience and gave confidence," he said. A three-member team from the Directorate of Adventure, Air Headquarters, New Delhi conducted the para sailing camp.
