District, fast track court judges reshuffled

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court Registry on Thursday reshuffled 21 District Judges, and 35 fast track court (FTC) judges in the State.

It also transferred the Registrar (Judicial) of the Madurai Bench of the court and posted him as Director of the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy in an existing vacancy.

He has been replaced by the Principal District Judge of Karur, G. Chockalingam. R. Karuppiah, Tirunelveli District Judge, has been appointed Registrar (Administration) in Madurai Bench, replacing S. Palanivelu, who has been posted as Principal District Judge of Madurai.

Prominent among those transferred are the Chairman of the State Transport Appellate Tribunal, F. Akbar, who is going to Nagapattinam as District Judge, and the Special Judge of Mahila Court, S. Vimala, who has been transferred to Tiruchi district.

As regards the Fast Track Courts, C. Pankajram of Pudukottai has been posted to FTC-I at Chennai, while T.C.S. Raja Chockalingam of Ramanathapuram has been transferred to FTC-II here.
