THRISSUR: Viva Kerala sailed into the semifinals of the N.I.David memorial all-Kerala club championship at the Corporation stadium here on Thursday. Viva Kerala continued its impressive show in the tournament with a 4-0 win over local favourite District Police. Javed struck a brace (18th and 55th) while Viva's Nigerian recruit Apkeji found the target in the 25th minute. Jackson Sebastian completed the tally with a 69th minute strike. Viva will meet FC Calicut in the semifinal. Basco FC, Malappuram defeatd Unity Soccer, Thodupuzha 3-1 to enter the second round. After a goalless first half, Abdul Khader put Basco ahead in the 47th minute. The match came alive in the final five minutes. In a space of three minutes, Ghanoya (85th) and Javed (88th) scored for Bosco. However, in between, Nazir scored the consolation goal (86th) for Unity Soccer.
