BELGAUM: Two boys aged 14 years drowned in a canal at Suldal village coming under Ankali Police Station limits on Thursday. According to Ankali police, Basavaraj Arjun Muddyanavar and Kumar Bhimappa Musalmari had gone to swim in the Shirur Dam canal near the village sometime before noon. The boys jumped into the rainwater-logged canal thinking that there was not much water and drowned. The police suspect that the victims did not know to swim well and drowned as a result. A case has been registered.
