Aiyar to visit Gulbarga today

GULBARGA:
The Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Panchayat Raj, Mani Shankar Aiyar will have firsthand experience of the working of gram sabhas and taluk panchayats during his short visit to Gulbarga district on Friday. He will interact with the gram sabhas at Gundugurthi village in Gulbarga taluk and Neelahalli village in Sedam taluk.
Mr. Aiyar, who will arrive here on Friday morning, will hold preliminary discussions on the working of the panchayat raj system in the State with senior officials including the Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Sivasailam. He will then interact with the gram sabhas.
