Lifer for killing friend
NEW DELHI:
: A man, who murdered his friend following an insurance claim amount dispute, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Delhi court today.
Additional Sessions Judge S L Bhayana handed down the punishment to Dalip Kumar Yadav for stabbing to death Viren Mandal in front of his wife four years ago. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict.
Viren and wife Devki were returning from Narula factory in Okhla in south-west Delhi where the deceased was working, on December 24, 2000. - PTI
