GUNTUR: A delegation of the Eastern Tobacco Company (ETC) has arrived in the State to carry out a survey of FCV tobacco production, processing and auctions and to hold talks with exporters. The Tobacco Board Chairman, P. Dayachari, in a statement said that the delegation led by the ETC Chairman, Mohamed Sadek Ragab, visited the Ongole-I auction platform and a few processing units in Guntur and Prakasam districts. Egypt imports 63 million kg. of tobacco as the cultivation of tobacco was illegal in that country. The delegation would tour the State till May 1. Currently, Malawi, China, Greece, Italy, India, Brazil and Bulgaria export majority of leaf requirement to Egypt.
