KARIMNAGAR: The Minister for Endowments, M. Satyanarayana Rao, has claimed the Praja Patham programme was a grand success in his Karimnagar Assembly segment with the active participation of the villagers. Participating in the Praja Patham in Thimmapur mandal villages on Thursday, he said that he had covered 55 villages in three mandals of Karimnagar, Thimmapur and Manakondur and solved several community related problems instantaneously in the villages. He assured to provide drinking water to all villages of Thimmapur mandal and six villages of Manakondur mandal by lifting waters from the LMD reservoir. He said that they would develop the roads in the segment at a cost of Rs. 2 crores. Earlier, in Parlapalli village of Thimmapur mandal, the Minister instructed the authorities to take measures for supplying drinking water by hiring a private well in the village. In Pollampalli village, he sanctioned two borewells and pipeline for the SC colony. He also instructed the authorities to stop migration of labourers by providing employment under the National Food Assurance Scheme by taking up desiltation of tanks etc.
