TIRUCHI: : The Corporation Commissioner, Harmander Singh, on Thursday inspected the work on laying of the underground drainage in the city and requested the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage (TWAD) Board to expedite the project. Mr. Singh inspected the works at Raghavendrapuram in Srirangam, Thanjavur Road, Sangiliandapuram and the Anna Stadium areas. He was accompanied by the TWAD Board Superintending Engineer, Hariharasubramanian, the Corporation Executive Engineer, R.Chandran, and other officials. In a release, Mr. Singh appealed to city residents to remit the deposits for obtaining the underground drainage connections at the earliest.
