KOCHI: Two persons were killed in separate accidents in the city on Thursday. Sabitha, 32, wife of Siddique, was killed when she was hit by a train near Edapally at 11.40 a.m. Her son, Manaf, 11, who was injured has been admitted to the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. According to the police, Sabitha and Manaf were walking along the railway tracks when the accident occurred. Hospital sources said the condition of Manaf was critical. In the second accident, Ponnuswami, 35, son of Nachimuthu, Karoor district, Tamil Nadu, died after the bike he was riding collided with a private bus at Choorakad. The bus was plying on the Kottayam-Ernakulam route. Senthil, 24, who was riding pillion, was admitted at the Medical Trust Hospital here with injuries.
