COIMBATORE: A two-day State level consultation meeting on HIV/AIDS will be organised on April 28 and 29 on Shanti Ashram premises in Kovaipudur. This is part of the Aravanaippu initiative project of Shanti Ashram along with UNICEF. The project attempts to bring religious leaders of Tamil Nadu together to address the worsening HIV/AIDS crisis. On April 28, children from across Tamil Nadu will discuss the challenges and the role children can play in responding to the HIV/AIDS crisis. The second day will be dedicated to bring together religious leaders at the highest level. The head of Kundrakudi Adheenam, Thavathir Kundrakudi Adigalar, will talk on the Hindu perspective. Other leaders include the former moderator of Church of South India, Bishop William Moses, and the president of Jamathul Ulama, Imam Mohammed . The Chancellor of Avinashilingam Deemed University, K. Kulandaivel, Archbishop Lawrence Pius, the head of Integral Yoga Institute, Swami Divyananada, and the president of Shanti Ashram, Minoti Aram, will also participate.
