This Day That Age
Prime Minister Nehru on April 28 made an open confession that patience was not one of his qualities. Replying to Dr. Zakir Hussain, who spoke of the Prime Minister's patience while welcoming him to the Indo-Egyptian Friendship Society, Mr. Nehru said, "Whatever qualities I may have, patience is not one of them." Dr. Zakir Hussein had told Mr. Nehru, "Every fellow-citizen of yours would open the door to his heart for you and you sit there, too, giving us all solace and strength and inspiration. But we cannot give you any respite from the cares and worries of the great task to which you are applying yourself with the insight of a seer, the competence of a master-mason and the patience and understanding of a great educator."
