TIRUCHI: Efforts were under way to promote a new zone of the Confederation of Indian Industry at Karur. A road show would be held at Karur in May/June to enlist membership leading to formation of a separate zone there, the Vice-Chairman of CII, Tiruchi zone, B.V.Ramanan, told mediapersons here today. He said that the Tiruchi zone had planned to take up an intensive membership enrolment drive this year. Separate panels on membership, human resources and employment relationships and industry-institute cooperation would be formed in the zone this year. A task force on agriculture would also be constituted with CII members.
