PATNA: In a major shake-up in the Health department in Bihar now under President's rule, the State Government has transferred 95 senior medical officers, including 30 civil surgeons, official sources said today. Those transferred included three Joint Director rank officers, seven Deputy Directors and eight Regional Deputy Directors, the sources said. With the shake-up, the Government has filled all the posts in the Health cadre lying vacant for past several years. Dr Chandra Bhusan Prasad Singh, deputy superintendent of Rajendra Nagar hospital, will be the new civil surgeon of Patna replacing Dr Sudhir Kumar, who will take charge as the State Leprosy Control Officer, the sources said. Those transferred have been asked to join their new assignments within 15 days, the sources added.
