Kanna promises early coop. polls

HYDERABAD:
The Government is determined to hold cooperative elections early and make the societies viable to meet farmers' needs.
This was stated here on Friday by the Cooperation Minister, Kanna Lakshminarayana, while addressing the valedictory session of a seminar on "Good governance and professionalism in cooperative" organised by the Institute of Cooperative Management.
He expressed anguish at the functioning of some cooperatives "with selfish motives".
