CUTTING EXPENDITURE: Water being pumped to the residents of Metunasuvampalayam panchayat using a gasifier installed some months ago at a cost of Rs. 5 lakhs. Using two 7.5 hp motors it pumps water from River Cauvery to an overhead tank. Daily 10 lakh litres of water is supplied to the residents.
