ICSE, CBSE students anxious

Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: With the announcement of SSLC results, all pre-university colleges have started issuing their application forms.

But the students of CBSE and ICSE streams are now in a dilemma as their results are yet to be released and by this month-end, the deadline for submission of application forms will be over. With their results expected in the last week of next month, the ICSE and CBSE students are a confused lot.

Many of the PU colleges have made certain arrangements so that the ISCE and CBSE students do not feel inconvenienced while the other colleges are still waiting to see what happens. "Give the application form and we will think about this problem later", said a spokesperson from Seshadripuram College.

Most colleges have asked all students to submit the application forms by the last date while a few colleges such as Mount Carmel College have given the ICSE and CBSE students time till the day after their results to submit their forms. "These students will have to write to the principal saying that their marks card will be submitted after receiving the results," said a spokesperson from National College. The other colleges have allowed these students to submit their results after receiving them but all application forms have to be submitted before the last date. "The students will have to note down their application form numbers before submitting it and then give their results with that number on it" said a spokesperson from Jyothi Nivas College.

This concept has been accepted by most of the colleges. Colleges have proposed to notify separate lists for SSLC, ISCE, CBSE. "We will put out the SSLC list on May 12 and the CBSE and ICSE lists will be put up after we receive their marks cards," said a spokesperson from Mount Carmel College. This method is being followed by Jain College as well.
