THANJAVUR: S. Kothandapani, took charge as the new Managing Director of Kumbakonam division of State Transport Corporation (STC) comprising of Kumbakonam, Tiruchi, Karaikudi and Pudukottai regions, at Kumbakonam today. Joined as engineer in 1973 at STC, Coimbatore, Kothandapani became General Manager of the erstwhile JJ Transport Corporation and Chennai Transport Corporation. Later, he became the Managing Director of Dheeran Chinnamalai Transport Corporation between 1999 and 2003. He also worked as additional project director of the medical college run by the Transport Corporation at Erode. He succeeds V. Dravida Mani, who handed over the charge to him. Mr. Dravida Mani retired from service today.
