KANNUR: The North Malabar Chamber of Commerce here on Saturday said that the Central nod for the proposed Kannur airport was the outcome of a collective effort of people's representatives, political parties, the Kannur Airport Action Committee and the Chamber.
`Positive approach'
In a press release, the Chamber secretary, Bahesh Chandra Baliga, said that the positive approach of the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, and the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Praful Patel, and the support of Leela Group strengthened the demand for the airport project.
