New farm policy on the anvil

ANANTAPUR:
The State Government was contemplating unveiling a policy on diversifying farmers from depending on agriculture alone along with change in cropping pattern to make agriculture more viable, the Minister for Agriculture, N. Raghuveera Reddy, said here on Saturday. A high-level official committee, set up by the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, was already deliberating over the draft policy and it would be announced in 10 days.
